The venue has had to be changed owing to Park Hall School being closed for the Easter holidays.
Talk and presentation by Tony Bracegirdle on The UK Rose Scene or It’s all the Dean of Rochester’s Fault. Should be interesting to hear how all the Shows began.

RNRS Spring Competition, Three Counties Ground, Malvern.
Come along for a good day’s outing. Lots of stalls and courtesy bus from Malvern Station to Show Ground.

It is proposed to visit several Rose Gardens during June. Please phone John Anthony for details as these are not known at present.

BBC Gardeners’ World Show at NEC.
WMRS are taking a stand this year to promote roses and our Society. Having our own stand will mean we will be depending on help from our members to staff it. Let John know if you think you could help.

WMRS Summer Show at Shugborough in conjunction with their Steam Weekend. Help on the Bureau and with the Fragrance Competition would be appreciated.

Society Membership
If you would like to become a member of the West Midlands Rose Society please contact us on westmidrosesociety@yahoo.com when we will send you an Application for Membership Form.
Subscription is £6.00 per year for single membership and £7.00 per year for double membership at same address.
Meetings are held once a month, usually on the second Thursday, commencing at 7.30 PM at Park Hall Community Centre, Park Hall Road, Walsall, just off the A34 Walsall Road, A-Z ref page 34 4C or 49 4G on the No. 51 Bus route.
SOCIETY BADGES
These metal badges are available from Roy Evans price £3.00. Our embroidered badge can be put onto any suitable item of clothing e.g. shirt, waistcoat, jacket at a cost of £8.50 plus £2.50 postage. Alison will collect items when completed thus saving return postage. Let me know if you would like to have either of these to help advertise the Society.
